Our Liquid DPM (LVM Liquid Vapour Membrane Damp Proofing Paint) is a water-based ready-to-use waterproofing system supplied in an 5L tub. It comes in black or white and has a consistency similar to thick emulsion paint. It is a highly effective membrane designed to be easy and quick to paint on (unlike others on the market). Just paint it on and watch it start protecting, waterproofing and sealing your property
Areas of application include:
- Under floors
- Protecting embedded timbers
- Floor wall junctions (following DPC)
- Damp proof floor membrane
- Cellars
- Roofs as the principal waterproofing system or as part of a repair system
- Under tiles as a secondary protection for wet areas
- Waterproofing or tanking to walls either alone or as part of a multi-layer system
- Silage tanks
After application the product cures and forms a flexible membrane which is elastic, offers good bonding and is resistant to light and abrasion. Liquid Vapour Membrane damp proofing paint can be applied to damp substrates by brush, roller, or spray. The applied product is typically touch-dry in one hour.
LVM will work best when applied to a clean, untreated substrate including brick, concrete and stone. We do not recommend using it over plaster. The product makes a good base to screed over as it creates a good bond.
