Woodworm, Wet Rot & Dry Rot Treatment
We stock a full range of Wood and Timber treatments to treat woodworm and other wood boring insects as well as with both dry rot treatments and wet rot treatments. Many of our timber and wood treatment methods also help to prevent future woodworm and insect infestations.
What is woodworm? Woodworm is the collective term given to wood-eating larvae of one of many species of beetle. It can be found in any part of your home where there is timber if the right conditions exist for an infestation. Typically woodworm prefer damp conditions.
How to treat woodworm: The common furniture beetle can be treated with two coats of water-based, vapour less and odourless boron brushed or sprayed on. Restoration UK can supply boron gels, pastes, permethrin insecticide and fungicide liquids as well as application pumps as required.
Our technical department will be happy to assist you with finding the right wood or timber treatment for the job. We can also offer an insect identification service for a small charge. Please use the contact page to request more details.
