Restoration UK plaster additives can be used when replastering following the installation of a damp proof course. These additives can be used in conjunction with our damp proofing creams for rising damp to create a salt-resistant render. We can also offer additives to use when using traditional products such as Lime.

Renderpel Salt Inhibitor Additive for Replastering
Renderpel is an integral waterproofer/salt inhibitor additive which is designed to be added to cement/sand mixes to be used for replastering following the insertion of a remedial damp-proof course e.g Dryzone.
Correct re-plastering is of the utmost importance. Even though the damp-proof course is effective, hygroscopic salts introduced by the rising damp may cause moisture to be attracted to the wall.

Mystolene PS Plaster Additive 5L
Mystolene PS is a plaster additive/salt inhibitor and is recommended for restoration plasterwork.
When replastering with traditional products e.g. Lime, use Mystolene PS in a 6:1:1 mix. Mystolene PS has been proven over 30 years to be the only paraffin wax based render additive on the market, it allows the walls to breathe and dry without allowing the salts to pass. Mytstolene PS can also be added to Limelight Backing plaster.
